The first-ever trail race exclusively for locals ran from Shyala–Samagaun–Lhe La–Samdo, all above 3,500m, with 38 participants from Sama, Lho and Samdo villages.
39 participants from Samagaun, Samdo and Lho ran the 2025 Nubri trail race, with the fastest man completing the ~21km course in only 2 hours.
Due to weather, the Nubri Trail Race dates changed: registration and briefing on 9 Nov, race day on 10 Nov starting from Shyala at 8:00 am.
Registration is open for the upcoming marathon on 6 November at Samagaun, exclusively for the people of Tsum Nubri.
